Ubuntu 20.04 running really slow

I have just freshly installed Ubuntu 20.04 on an external SSD.

My problem is that whenever I try to install or run any software computer hangs for nearly a minute. Even when performing simple actions, such as opening a new terminal or Firefox, it works really slow when it should not.

Some of my computer characteristics are

How to mount samba share on NAS at boot the same way it is mounted by "Files"?

I have a samba share on a NAS that is mounted only when I click on it in Files.

I would like the NAS to be mounted exactly like that, but at boot. What should I write in the /etc/fstab?

How to mount drives at bootup as RW

I am using Xubuntu 22.10. It automatically mounts my drives in explorer when I click on them but my backup software needs them permanently mounted so it can read the changes and I can move files to the backup drives as currently I cannot put any files into my drives as they are RO.

DP Alt mode USBC stops work working periodically

I have Lenovo Thinkpad P1 Gen 3.(Nvidia Quadro graphics and a video output controller.) And a Lenovo 1 wire monitor - USB-C Hub + DP Alt mode.

This setup's video (DP part) randomly stops working and then randomly restarts working. USB hub works without issues.

The same machine will work with same Ubuntu version from USB drive and Windows. Same cable, not even unplugged between restarts.

I have a pacific image primefilm 7200 film scanner that works with windows 10.
When i plug into my ubuntu laptop, the lsusb command shows the device as a reflecta 7200 crystalscan with usb id 05e3/0145.

Simple scan and hamrick vuescan do not show the scanner as visible.

RTL8852BE, ubuntu 22.04: realtek manual driver installation throws error after system update

I've been following this gh-repo to manually install Realtek drivers on Ubuntu (22.04).

My understanding so far is that this specific card is not being properly "recognized" by Linux, so manual driver installation is a workaround. Over the past months, after each kernel update the issue would re-emerge and on dir rtl8852be I would re-run the following commands:

My kernel version now is 5.19.0-32-generic on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS.

Adapter was working in 2g and 5g modes perfectly before software update.

I tried some methods as shown here for 20.04 and earlier versions. But no success. I am stuck up.

System clock not synchronized but NTP service is active

I am unable to get a "yes" for "System clock synchronized" on my VPS (Ubuntu 22.04). The NTP service is active. I already tried sudo timedatectl set-ntp on but this only activates the NTP service and this was already running. So, what can I do to get the system clock synchronized?

I have a Blue Yeti microphone plugged into my ThinkPad.

When I wake up my PC from suspension the microphone isn't working anymore, e.g. with Sound Recorder or Microsoft Teams (web app):

Fullscreen window across multiple displays

I'm trying to play video in fullscreen with mpv player on 4 equal displays combined as one. It works with the nouveau graphics driver, but the framerate is very poor. I want to make it work with the proprietary nvidia driver but the window extends to just one display. I'm using

xrandr --setmonitors 

to combine the four displays. Any ideas?
