How to resize root partition
kr flag

I'm about to run out of space on my root partition and I have plenty of unallocated space. When creating the partitions, I thought I had enough space, but it turned out that I didn't. On the information I found it says that it is quite risky, so I want to make sure to do it properly. How should I resize the root partition? (I have a dual boot with windows)

Here is the situation:

After Ubuntu update, on every bluetooth connection my sound profile changes for my headphones
us flag

On Ubuntu 20.04 everything worked fine, but when I updated it to 21.04 every time I connect my bluetooth headphones, my audio profile changes back to "Headset Head Unit (HSP/HFP)" and I can't change it to "High Fidelity Playback (A2DP Sink)" by myself in settings (when I set it to A2DP nothing happens, settings won't apply or save). Only way I made it work is to keep my headphones turned on, disconnect  ...

Failed Nvidia graphics driver installation - bad aspect ratio

Here are the specs I'm working with:

  • x86_64 architecture
  • Intel Core i7-4790K processor
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 graphics card
  • Ubuntu version 20.04.3 LTS

From what I can tell, this seems to be a common issue. I attempted to install one of Nvidia's graphic drivers by following some advice on the forums. Very quickly, things went downhill, and I was eventually unable to boot the system (the login page would ...

When IntelliJ is running sometimes mouse clicking on another program like Chrome, IntelliJ intercepts the clicks
bg flag

I'm running Gnome 40, but this has happened in earlier versions of Gnome as well. The title says it all really. I'll be switching from IntelliJ to Chrome (or any other app) and IntelliJ will "intercept" the click and become the current program instead of what I clicked on. I think this even happens sometimes with IntelliJ itself, like it just intercepts all clicks and does nothing until "something" rese ...

I was auditing my computer (with lynis) and then I saw that I have bad security on almost all of my services when I run "sudo systemd-analyze security SERVICE". I was wondering if there was a way to harden them, how do I do it? Also is there a way to auto harden them?

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
