Brightness resets everytime I restart my laptop in Ubuntu
in flag

I have recently installed Ubuntu and I really love it, except for one thing, whenever I restart my laptop the brightness resets to maximum by default. Just mentioning that I use AMD CPU with integrated graphics and not Intel, so the folder that I get when going to /sys/class/backlight is "amdgpu_bl0" and not "intel_backlight" or "acpi_video0" Your help is appreciated.

I've installed an Ubuntu VM on my new laptop, but it's lagging very much, it takes seconds to open every app(terminal, mozilla, VSCode), lags on input char., scrolling down and everything. Working with this VM is really annoying.

Host OS is windows10. I have GuestAdditions installed and I set the VM with the following parameters:

MDADM raid won't assemble after update from 16.04 LTS (32 bit) to 18.04 LTS
cn flag

I just upgraded my oldish Thecus 7 bay RAID storage from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (server) to 18.04. Everything is fine (it boots from a separate DOM) except that the RAID won't assemble and I am a bit at a loss why - also because I have a hard time to get any sort of error messages out of MDADM.

sudo mdadm --examine /dev/sd[b-h]2 gives me what I would expect:

ubuntu 20.04 patch rt-preempt doesn't detect usb

I installed ubuntu 20.04 (kernel version 5.10.65) in dual boot with Windows and I installed the patch rt-preempt. I have some issues with the detection of the USB devices. Ubuntu 21.10 on Raspberry Pi 4B randomly freezes, sometimes unplugging peripherals helps
bd flag

Every now and then my Raspberry Pi 4B's which are running Ubuntu 21.10 freeze up for no apparent reason. I hate having to pull the power.

Sometimes if I remove the mouse/keyboard USB dongle it will unfreeze. I have 4 Pi's, each of which has 8GB Ram and a 128GB Micro SD card. Are there log files that might give me insight as to what happened?

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
