When pressing F1 while running any libreoffice tool, my default browser (chromium) is opened with the following url:

I was unable to open Settings within Ubuntu, or from right-clicking the desktop. Understandably I was missing gnome-control-center, however it turns out I am missing several dependencies, which are missing further dependencies.

Doing sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade returns no packages installed.

I am on a Metabox Alpha-V V158PNK, with NVIDIA RTX 3050Ti. I have had several issues with a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04 (dual-boot with Windows 11).

I am able to boot when using nvidia-driver-525 (NOT nvidia-driver-525-open, then I have to use recovery mode), and was able to get the following output of nvidia-smi:

Can't access any info about network

I just updated from Ubuntu 18.04 to 22.04 and my system now shows no network connection. If I try to access the network tabs on System Settings or Info Center, I get an endless pinwheel and it seems to crash the program (i.e., can't switch to another tab, if I close the program it says it is not responding and won't close). Same with running

How do I stop my computer from falling asleep when using a game controller?

When I use a game controller, my games detect it and play fine. However, Ubuntu doesn't seem to detect any of the button presses. After awhile the screen dims and I have to move the mouse to stop the computer from falling asleep. How do I get Ubuntu to detect the button presses so the computer doesn't fall asleep?

I'm using an msi Force GC30 V2 on Kubuntu 22.04.

I have an old Dell Optiplex 745 SFF that I want to use as a Plex server. It has USB 2.0 ports, one available SATA connection, and one PCIe slot (x16). I'd like to use the SATA connection for a 2 TB HDD to hold my media.
I could run Ubuntu from a flash drive in one of the USB 2.0 ports, but that's slow. I can install an NVME SSD, on a PCIe adapter, in the PCIe slot, but that's not bootable.

I working with ubuntu 20.04 and when I installed rsyslog after about 15min it stops processing messages to the syslog file and have to run

systemctl restart rsyslog

so is something misconfigured?

CUPS - Force duplex printing

I'm using an Ubuntu server to provide network printing services for Windows clients (using CUPS). Printer is configured and working but if I print from a Windows client the "Default Options" in CUPS for using the duplexer are ignored. Can I somehow force CUPS to always use the duplexer regardless of what the client does?

Recommended diagnostic steps to determine why xampp.desktop shortcut won’t launch?

When I click on the xampp custom shortcut icon in the start menu, nothing happens. I am able to successfully launch the it from terminal though by executing ‘sudo /opt/lamp/manager-linux-64.run’. I will admit, I don’t know what the ‘processes’ name of it is when I open System Monitor.
