When I transfer folder with files from srv1 with the username srv1 to srv2 with the username srv2 then the transferred folder and its containing files on srv2 are keeping the ownership srv1

Microsoft Edge on Kubuntu crashes on startup

I am using Kubuntu 22.10 and downloaded the latest Microsoft Edge Stable release from the official site. It was working well at first. But now every time I try to start the app it crashes. I am trying to connect my laptop to my galaxy buds 2 pro, but to no avail

I'm trying to present a virtual smartcard to a ubuntu virtual machine. But the smartcard isn't recognized by the vm. Although an Almalinux 9 vm does recognize the virtual smartcard.

Crontab won't run bash cript

I have a bash script that takes backup of my gitlab server and copies the files to another disk.

The script runs as expected when I run it by hand.

I tried to add it as a job in crontab but it doesn't seem to run.

This is how I tried to setup the crontab:

sudo crontab -e

I set it up to run every day at 12:00.
I tried different times as well, but still no luck.

Terminal adds extra spaces after $ when running history commands with up and down arrows

I tried to update my terminal for a better look. I followed this guide here. I got the result I wanted but when I try to see previous commands with up and down arrows, it freezes the terminal to start at a random midpoint of the terminal.
