Rstudio doesn't open after 20.04.1 LTS ubuntu upgrade

I have update my 20.04 LTS version to 20.04.1 LTS and Rstudio hangs at start-up when I click the icon from desktop and I see only a white desktop.

Hello everybody,

I tried to reinstall Rstudio from dailies but doesn't work, the only way is open it from terminal with

rstudio--no-sandbox 

but open my rstudio from a conda environment...

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Why is the PHC is removed on my ethernet interface? Is that the reason why I couldn't see the interface in ifconfig? I have inserted the 10Gbe cable and I can clearly see it is connected.

Unable to change default SSH port

using VPS and Ubuntu (latest version). When I changed ssh port by going into sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config it did not work. When checked via sudo lsof -i -n -P | grep LISTEN, it shows it's still listening to port 22. Then when I tried to login again, console showed SSH connection lost.

Then found this thread: SSH default port not changing (Ubuntu 22.10) and I put the commands as:

mkdir -p /etc/ ...

Bluetooth on VirtualBox / Wine / Bottles (for Silhouette Studio)

I have just made my Silhouette Studio workable on Bottles and Virtualbox, my problem though is trying to detect the machine through Bluetooth.

On Windows VirtualBox:

  • machine works through usb cable
  • able to detect the Silhouette Portrait on bluetooth settings

I am using Ubuntu 22.04 and I regularly switch between Ubuntu and Windows 10. Every time I switch to w10, the clock there is always 8 hours earlier. Since it's a one way problem I can only guess there is something in Ubuntu that I need to fix. What might cause this?

How to fix resolution stuck at 640x480 with an nVidia card that relies on deprecated proprietary 304 driver?
