I have a situation where I have to join Ubuntu 20.04 desktop to Active Directory Domain A but use a user acount that resides in Active Directory Domain B. there is only a oneway trust from Domain A to Domain B (that is Domain A trusts Domain B but not the other way round). windows PCs joined to Domain A can use Domain B user accounts to log in.

My system says "On some systems, you need to be in a special group (often: wheel) to use this program."

How do I update a repository without a release file?

I try to update Linux with a new repository, but I always get the same error message:
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default. I've tried a ton of other online tutorials, but none of them have worked. I'm trying to do all of this on a Chromebook, so I can't exactly change editmy sources.list thing. Anyone know what I should do?

Unfortunately, I decided to reinstall the system anyway. And IPv6 doesn't work for me either.

Given: Dedicated IPv4 like: 45.80.XX.XX/32 and gateway 10.0.0.1; IPv6 subnet: 2a03:XX:XX::5b8/125 (/125 prefix) and gateway 2a03:XX:XX::5b9

But when I use Laravel to create folders, it's created under group www-data and user www-data, and then I have to perform all the commands in the post all over, i.e.:

For a friend I finally got ubuntu running on sdd, version 22.04.
When trying to move a file from harddisk to sdd i get an error:

mv: cannot remove 'temp.kop': Read-only file system

Copying works fine.
Just recently I managed to get ubuntu installed on a newly created partition on sdd.
Not sure íf relevant but windows still lives on sdd as well (sudo fdisk -l, looked for /dev/sd):

  • I mount the share from Gnome Files (Nautilus)
