I was following this Guide to make a kiosk for an ubuntu tablet but I seem to run into an issue I cant seem to bring up the on screen keyboard. This is not a public kiosk just a tablet that is use as a kiosk for home assistant

I am currently trying to install wine in Ubuntu 22.04 and it comes down to this error:

Nautilus stops working frequently

I'm having troubles with my new Ubuntu server installation (Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS - 5.15.0-56-generic x86_64).

I ran PHP built-in server, and listen on port 8080 on all interfaces:

php -S 0.0.0.0:8080

When I tried to check it from other computers in the same networks, it worked (192.168.1.18 is the IP of the server)

Can I clone a disk with windows 10 and ubuntu to a bigger ssd?

I was thinking of cloning my 500gb nvme ssd which has dualboot windows 10 and ubuntu to a new 1tb nvme ssd. I was thinking of using a gparted live usb to "copy" all the partitions to the new ssd via usb and be able to resize partitions using the graphical user interface for both windows 10 and ubuntu to take advantage of the bigger space. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this before and was successful

I am just trying to following this post.

I have replaced "/some/directory/" by "/usr/lib/x86_64_linux-gnu/", resulting in

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/lib/x86_64_linux-gnu/

Now when I type

printenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH

it prints

I wonder if the : is correct, and if not what I have to do differently.

Boot order is changing when Windows is selected

I have pop-os and windows installed as dual-boot. Pop-os uses systemd-boot as the boot manager. When I select windows, windows comes up in the boot order. The next time, instead of systemd-boot, windows boot manager is running and directly entering windows

I'm trying to copy a large number of files from my local machine down to my server using scp. The problem I'm having is it takes a while and my internet occasionally drops. So I would like to update the script below so that it only copies the files in the source "path1" on my local machine, that aren't already on my server at "path2". Bad video and audio performance in all media players

I am having trouble playing any video files on my desktop computer running Pop!_OS.

I have managed to get VLC to play audio at the correct time, but the video is delayed. YouTube videos start but freeze at about a second into the video.

I'm setting up my app to run as systemd service for testing, i.e the app will change and it's currently generating output to stdout.

Is this an issue? Can I view the output in real-time if I need to? I'm not sure I'd like to log the output because if run for a long time may waste disk space. but if I do want to log output from the process how can I do that either while it's running or between sys ...

The mouse pointer is always visible besides when i select full screen in games (Age of empire 2, Minecraft...), when i open Dicord lives in full screen, and... on steam's store page.
