I've tried to update the kernel on my Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, it's up to date and I've tried with mainline.

I'm using a Asus X670E Tuf Gaming with a Ryzen 9 7900X (i'm doing it to try to get the sensors infos)

Everytime I try a Kernel 6.x my computer hang when starting (during the kernel), last time I saw 4 or 5 lines. I've removed the "quiet splash" from the grub to get more details.

Is it possible to run a WSL app in the background?

I installed LXD in ubuntu with the snap store and then conncted it to the windows client, but for me to be able to run containers from Windows the Ubuntu app has to be open. Is there a way to have the LXD server run in the background or will I have to have Ubuntu open for it to work? wsl --status returns:

Clicking Upgrade for LTS 22.04 not working

I've been prompted everyday since the latest LTS has become available and when I click to upgrade nothing happens. Change Keyboard Layout without losing another keybinds

To switch between the layout, using the Alt+Shift, I use this command :

setxkbmap -layout "us,ara" -option 'grp:alt_shift_toggle'

But, When I use some keys like Left+ Shift+i it's will change the layout, but I don't want to switch to next layout now,

How can I prevent to switch between layout when I use more than two keys?

I'm using the dwm or i3… as windows manager, not the gnome desktop

Terminal not opening on Ubuntu 22.04 on Virtual box 7.0.0

I'm using windows 10 and I installed Ubuntu 22.04 on Virtual box 7.0.0.

When I click the terminal icon, the upper left side of the screen(where is the executing application name view), there is the title 'Terminal' and a turning arrow that indicates it's launching.

Note: In the whole post, by refresh rate, I mean the refresh rate the monitor has. The problem: It goes down, lower than it should be, and that's only because the graphics card does not send more frames per second to the monitor. I just upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 and found that the UTC entry of the World Clock is no longer there. Searching for UTC, GMT or similar keywords does not help:

My screen resolution is 1360x768. In Linux the setting 1366x768 is used. When I tried to move camera to the right in the game it doesn't move as well as in other directions.

I tried to add 1360x768 as a screen resolution in xrand but it's already in there, however I can't choose it. What might be issue for this?

Dual monitors does not work properly

I'm currently using Ubuntu 22.04 dual boot with Windows and the dual monitors simple does not work on Ubuntu. I thought it could possibly be a bad DP connection, but in Windows it works well. In Ubuntu I can access both monitors if I use one display or screen mirroring. Somebody can help me?

In Settings -> Power, there is the Power Saving - Blank Screen option. It has a variety of choices from 1 to 15 minutes plus never.

Is the list of choices configurable? I'd like options between 15 minutes and never.

Is there any way to configure Ubuntu 22.04 to hibernate on some critical battery percentage, say 5%, when already in sleep? Suppose you go to sleep at 20% battery and remain in sleep for a long time so the battery eventually drains. Is there any way to prevent that by hibernating while in sleep?

I know I can hibernate while in sleep after a predefined delay but that's not what I want.
