I have recently received my new computer, a Lenovo Thinkpad P14s notebook. According to the datasheet, it comes with a Realtek RTL8852AE (WiFi-6, 802.11ax, 2x2 Dual Band) WiFi adapter and a standard RJ45 ethernet port.

After installing Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, however, no WiFi was available at all. I did some research in the web and found suggestions to install Ubuntu 21.04 instead. However, this did no ...

WiFi option not available and WiFi card not detected in dual boot Ubuntu 20.04

I'm a complete newbie in the world of Linux. It was yesterday I tried to dual boot Ubuntu 20.04 alongside my Windows 10, where the installation was smooth and I was able to switch between Windows and Ubuntu quite easily.
But then I ran into a problem. As you can see below, I have no option of WiFi available, so I tried looking into settings, to find the option of Wireless connections.

Why is my sound extremely distorted in Ubuntu Studio 21.10?
cn flag

Audio is extremely distorted in Ubuntu Studio 21.10 using JACK on my Lenovo Thinkpad P15v Gen 2, using the built-in Intel Tiger Lake audio hardware.

It appears that all sound on the system is affected; LMMS, Hydrogen, Spotify, and even system sound effects (e.g. the 'blip' sound when adjusting volume) are all hyper-amplified into squelchy static.

Some apps, such as Spotify, become less distorted as I r ...

How to create EFI Partitions and add ubuntu to the list

I'm installing ubuntu alongside windows 10 with UEFI. I'm installing ubuntu in a different drive (nvme0np->win10, sda->ubuntu) using the custom install option (the one that lets you create partitions manually).

The thing is, I forgot to create EFI partition in the second drive (sda); so the ubuntu is using the same EFI partition that already exists on the first drive.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
