remote desktop not connecting to oracle cloud ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS instance

I have a running instance in oracle cloud of Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS. Not able to connect using RDP from a windows 10 pc. it worked fine initially.

  1. instance is in running state, rebooted multiple times
  2. can connect using SSH
  3. connected using remote desktop earlier from win 10 pc
  4. cant connect using RDP anymore
  5. added port 3389 as ingress rule for both TCP & UDP

Problem with sound in Ubuntu 22.10

So, I just installed Ubuntu Unity 22.10. The installation was fine, but booting into the system, there was no sound. In the sound settings, I could only find an output called "Dummy Sound".

I have tried many solutions but none of them worked, mainly because I get another error when I try to run some dpkg commands:

Touchpad ASUS E403N no longer responds

I use Lubuntu on an asus E403N, the touchpad no longer responds to the standby release, I have to reboot to find it. I tried without success:

Ubuntu 22.10 Installer not showing existing partitions

I have a new laptop running LTS ubuntu workstation. It runs the default GNOME GUI

I want to keep this thing running 24x7 and have cacti to poll several systems via script and/or SNMP. Cacti is not the problem. Also I can SSH into this laptop, no problem.

I am trying to install ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on my VM 7.0.2 version and i received a warning message which says and I quote,

Ubuntu 22.04.1 Gnome 42.4 I tried to refresh my gnome-environment-config after using gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme prefer-dark.

There was a suggestion to try gnome-shell -r to refresh the session.

The session crashed and all my config is now gone (I tried to reboot). I'm not exactly sure what I did using the command above. Have I deleted my config? Can I bring it back?

Today I updated from Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS to Ubuntu 22.10 using sudo update-manager -d (updated up to date).

Now when I try to boot from the drive I get this message:

Newly opened apps have blurry icon background in dock (Ubuntu 22.04)

When I open an app that ISN'T added to the dock (not in favorites), then the app icon background becomes blurry. This effect disappears when I hover over the app with my mouse, or select another window, but reappears again if I remove the cursor from the app icon, or if I select the app again through the dock.

sudo rm -f /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opera-stable.list

While upgrading the error I now get is:

Cant format sdcard other than ntfs - want ext2

When i try to format 64gb sd card as ntfs it works fine but if I try ext3 or ext2 creating the file system will take hours and it throws IO error when saving superblocks, Tried multiple sdcards all behave the same. How to make it happen?

How to launch gnome-panel on 22.04?
