I use Brave browser in Ubuntu to access nsandi.com bank web page but today I received an error that it was taking to long to download the web page.

I checked nsandi.com's web page and they have instigated two factor security which requires particular browsers and OS. Linux Brave was not among them.

Setup is:

NAS with multiple shared folders

Shared folders mapped in Windows

Ubuntu VM (VMware), with some of the mapped shares available to the VM

All of these mapped drives are perfectly accessible from Windows, with no issues. Except for the below issue, all of the shares are usable without having to enter any details.

I've been customizing my Xfce 4.16 top (main) panel. I've done so via the settings first and then modifying ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css but there's someting I can' acuieve. Or it works... sort of. Instead of appling the changes in the destop panels, they seem to work only on the login/lock screen. And even so, sometimes in the LightDM screen, the panel goes off screen.

Not able to enter password for few seconds at login screen in Kubuntu 23.04

I am using Ubuntu 22.04 with NetworkManager. eth0 has disappeared, and the internet does not work. The ip a command only shows lo. There is no /etc/network/interfaces file at all. The ls /sys/class/net command only shows lo. The lshw | grep Eth command shows the Realtek network card.

Black screen after NVIDIA driver and afterwards problems

I installed NVIDIA driver form additional drivers ( topmost that shows tested) . After reboot it showed ablack screen with a cursor blinking. To solve this I searched youtube for fix. Following a video I went to UEFI/bios setup screen then I chnaged graphic driver to another one ( I guess this one is used by windows) . The black screen problem was fixed but another problem arose.

RealVNC Server simply doesn't run on freshly installed Ubuntu 22.04. It starts well on Live Ubuntu booting from USB flash drive, when I'm installing it the same way (downloading version 7.5.1 from realvnc.com, then running the .deb package via Software Install). Any thoughts?

Adding Linux Mint repos to Ubuntu

I was just wondering if there's a way to add Linux Mint repos to Ubuntu to replace the apt commands that are rerouted to Snaps. For example, if I add the Mint repos, could I just do "sudo apt install firefox" or "sudo apt install chromium-browser" without the commands installing the Snap versions? I installed Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS on my new Dell laptop. When I tried to connect with a monitor screen, the second screen failed to detect my Dell laptop but is OK to detect my Macbook. I'm new to linux os and I almost tried all the method I could found but non of them works.
