How can I edit or remove a grub menu entry while booted off a live usb?

I messed up and tried adding a grub menu entry to shutdown the computer using the "halt" command. I accidentally put the "halt" command outside the menu entry 'tags' and now the computer starts to boot and after post immediately shuts down again. From my understanding what is happening is grub is booting and running the script with my shutdown menu entry and just running the halt command as it is outsid ...

My keyboard has an issue where it does not work on startup which means I cannot access the boot menu. Is there a command to reboot and open straight to the boot menu? I'm assuming its something like this command as it opens the bios menu but not the drive select menu.

Lubuntu 20.04 - Error configuring shim-signed - GRUB install devices on update
gs flag

I used to have both a Windows 10 disk and another with Lubuntu, but now I left the Lubuntu as the main disk, and removed the other one. I was updating and the following message appears: enter image description here

I selected the drive and clicked "Continue", which leads me to this:

But i clicked "No" because I don't want to continue if boot might fail afterwards, but doing that takes me back to the first picture. So I am not sure ...

I really want to run GNOME 41 on Ubuntu 21.04. But the problem is that I don't want any residue and the old GNOME as bloat. Is there is any way to do that?

And GNOME 41 on Ubuntu is slower than on Fedora 34 is there any way to speed it up as well?

How to open a video file in Windows using the Ubuntu terminal?
tn flag

So I am learning the Linux/Ubuntu command line. One of the things I want to be able to do is to use the Ubuntu terminal (Windows Subsystem for Linux) to open video files (mp4) on my computer (Windows 10).

I have tried VLC and MPlayer, but when I run vlc filename or mplayer filename, it gives me a very long error. It seems like it is running, but only shows text and then gives a long error.

AMD AB-7600 Radeon R7 on A88XM-A motherboard. Using onboard HDMI to Samsung SyncMaster TA 350 TV/monitor. Using YouTube on both Chrome and FireFox produces a badly distorted and very noisy audio. Unusable. Rebooting into Ubuntu MATE 18.04 clears all the problems. Is there a patch or update to fix the Ubuntu MATE 20.04 audio problem?

stand alone version of ubuntu-desktop?
nl flag

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04. For some reason, when I reboot, the machine hangs and I can't get to the login screen. I've learned that this command magically fixes the problem:

sudo apt -y install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop

but it requires network access. Does there exist somewhere a .deb file that I can download, so I can dpkg ubuntu-desktop without network access?

Is it some personal mistake?

How can I get the valid keyword to that ppa?

Is it something out of my control? ???

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
