I'm running a Ubuntu 22.04 with a Nvidia RTX 3070-ti with two monitors. The GPU has 1 hdmi port and 3 display ports. Whichever monitor is plugged into the hdmi slot is by the detected and propagates a signal correctly and well. i want to restream with ffmpeg , how do i make it delay 1 minute ( but save to ffmpeg ) then stream ?

the reason for the 1 minute delay is because my connection is slow, if it waits 1 minute it might help to keep it smooth

Codeblocks tries to spawn an instance during version check

I run codeblocks --version to check the version. This is what I get:

How to fix j key not working terminal 22.04.1

So I reinstalled ubuntu for reasons not worth mentioning and now the 'j' key does not working in terminal at all.

The only way to get the key to function is to do one of the following:

  • Left Shift + j = J

  • Left Windows + j = j

  • j = no output to the terminal

I have no clue what to do. Can someone take a few minutes with me on this to recommend some ideas I can try? I know my way around a terminal ...

Since a few days the app doesn't start. I have Ubuntu 22. I tried to uninstall and re-install the app via snap, but, even after that, nothing happens when I start the app. Here is my terminal output.

RDP vs Console session

After upgrading from 22.04 to 22.10, vlc-wrapper no longer displays dvd video content (sound works). However, and oddly enough, running cvlc works.
