Gnome VNC session not displaying correctly -- defaults to gnome-classic

I'm trying to set up a VNC server in Ubuntu 22.04 using tightvnc. I pretty much have it working, except the gnome session is not displaying correctly. It looks like this:

which is sort of like gnome classic, but without the desktop background, so clearly things are not fully loading.

Here's my ~/.vnc/xstartup file:

Screen locked on desktop resize (aarch64 virtual machine)

I use Ubuntu 22.10 (and used all previous versions) in various environments, mostly virtual machines. I just ran into a new unexpected and annoying behavior on aarch64 (64-bit Arm).

When I resize the desktop (i.e. the virtual machine window), the screen lock is immediately activated and I must enter the user's password to continue.

Why did my Ubuntu 22.04 LTS reboot during an xorg upgrade?

My Laptop had to upgrade some xorg upgrades recently, and this required a reboot, where during the boot process some stuff was installed. Why was that necessary? I have never experienced this with a linux operating system, only with windows. What was done during the boot process which could not be done while the system was booted?

Monitor connected via USB-C not working correctly

I am running a network topology using Mininet. I want to change the numtxqueues and numrxqueues of my interface (h1-eth0).

I execute the following command:ip link set h1-eth0 numtxqueues 8 numrxqueues 8, although it seems to run, I realize (ls /sys/class/net/h1-eth0/queues) that the number of the queues is still 1 (RTX-0, MTX-0).
