Focus jumps all over the place when I type, usually going to mouse position

I can't type at all. The focus (cursor) jumps to where the mouse is and sometimes highlights text and deletes it. Sometimes focus goes to other visible windows. My system: Dell XPS 13 with touch screen and Ubuntu re-install. I don't touch the touchscreen at all when I type.

Currently running Ubuntu 22.04.2* LTS. Clearly there's a fingerprint device on my machine:

How can I view the CPU fan speed on a Dell OptiPlex 3070?

I have a Dell OptiPlex 3070 running Ubuntu Server. It is the smaller form factor version of this computer. I would like to know how I can read out the current fan speed of the single fan that is in the system (I assume this would be the CPU fan). Here is the output of sensors and there is no fan speed listed.

Touch friendly screenshot shortcut

Is there a way to get a shortcut icon to the side or top bar, that'll trigger the gnome screenshot utility, that is normally started with the print-key?

I'm using a Thinkpad Yoga convertible, so it's pretty uncomfortable to fold the keyboard back just to press the print button. Accessing the screenshot utility through the search is also annoying.

Crackling/clicking sound while recording audio Ubuntu 20.04

I record audio using USB microphones. In all the recorded audio from all the microphones, there is a crackling/clicking sound. It's not continuous though. I changed the cable, tried different USB hubs (both USB 2.0 and 3.0 hubs), changed sample rate to 48000 in PulseAudio, added and removed autosuspend=-1 in grub file, but none of these worked.

If anybody can provide solution to solve this proble ...

Docker permission errors on Ubuntu Core

My mouse sleeps and takes a while to wake up

I using a Dell Optiplex 790 and sometimes if I'm not using the mouse it "falls asleep" and won't work for a while. It eventually wakes up but it can be as much as 10s before I get mouse function. I've been trying to boot from a USB ISO of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

I'm on a ROG G20CB with an NVIDIA 1080

I also already have windows 10 installed on the PC.

I followed the steps to flash it onto a USB and successfully change my boot option over to the USB.

I am trying to set up dual booting on Lenovo X270 with Windows 11. I previously have installed 22.04 on this X270 machine.I have 22.04 on the USB stick. This F12s perfectly on the target machine.

Installed NVIDIA Drivers, now laptop won't boot, stuck on black screen

I'm on Ubuntu 22.04 and am pretty ticked off. I don't know what's gone wrong, but this is the second time my system has gone AWOL after trying to update NVIDIA drivers. I've got a GeForce 3050 in my Dell XPS 15 and am trying to use my GPU when running a python script.

Wifi and Bluetooth strength weak all of a sudden

I had my hp laptop fixed the other day…. After I got it fixed I wanted to use my hotspot to browse on my pc, and I noticed the wifi strength on my laptop was so low I virtually had to place the hotspot side by side to my laptop. I also noticed it was the same too with my Bluetooth. Any fix? I don’t know what to do

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04. I've had this issue for ages but just now it's been affecting my productivity and I decided to look for an answer.

Basically, I can't CTRL + X from desktop or CTRL + V a cut element directly to it. It simply does nothing.

CTRL + C and CTRL + V do work fine.

All commands work fine in other contexts as well (Chrome browser for example) so I know it's not a keyboard related issue.
