NVIDIA docker, Ubuntu image does not recognize GPU

On Ubuntu-based NVIDIA docker image, container does NOT recognize GPU but Redhat-based container does. Why? I followed the official installation manual and used the official docker image. Should I ask about it to NVIDIA?

Environment

  • Ubuntu Desktop 22.04 LTS
  • Docker 20.10.21
  • GPU RTX 2080
  • Driver nvidia-driver-510
  • No CUDA installed on host OS

How to access SSH only with the yubikey?

I have a server that has a user and password specifically used to log into it remotely through ssh.

Is it correct to install an EFI boot-loader on separate drives

I have two drives, sda and sdb.

I boot into the first drive sda, via its EFI partition sda1, and its Ubuntu installation on sda2 and sda3. But this drive has developed bad sectors, I don't know if anything has been corrupted besides the bad sectors marked by smartmontools.

So I want to build a fresh setup on sdb which has no dependency at all on the failing drive sda.

SSH service failing on Reboot

Can I freely move an SD card imaged with Ubuntu Server for Raspberry Pi between an rPi3 and rPi4?

Just curious about the implications of such.

I've got a Raspberry Pi 3 that I use to host small web development projects on a LAMP stack (Ubuntu for Raspberry Pi 22.04). I'm thinking of tasking the device with more (file/backup server, media host, torrent server) and I think my Raspberry Pi 4 would probably be more up for the task.

Do I theoretically need to re-image an SD card and boot up the Pi 4  ...

ubuntu 22.04 turn off bluetooth at startup after install tlp, how to fix it?

I had just upgraded to ubuntu 22.04 from 20.04.

After installed tlp to manage power, I found that ubuntu would turn off bluetooth at startup, no matter what.

My mouse and keyboard needs bluetooth to work and I have to turn on it manually every time after my laptop reboot.

How can I fix this issue?

22.10: Laptop doesn't charge on suspend

When I close the lid on laptop or if I put the laptop in suspend it doesn't charge. It does charge if the laptop on or if it is turned off.

I can tell it is truly not charging during suspend because my charger has an Amp meter on it and indicates 0.0amps @ 20V.

Any thoughts? Also any tips on how to debug would be appreciated. I have looked at dmesg and nothing stands out.

EDIT: The Laptop is a NUC 11 P ...

Remove the root password for mysql login

I somehow managed to enable password for the root user on ubuntu 20.04 so now i get mysql errors when trying to connect to it.

SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

How can I extract files in the directory where they're located with the find command?

Ubuntu 22.04 Completely Garbled USB Audio ( + stuttering video when plugged in

Title kind of says it. Audio is completely garbled/distorted when using a usb interface. In my case an atr2200x microphone. Also when paired with something like a Youtube video playing the video starts to stutter and run at like 1fps. I unplug my microphone and everything goes back to normal. Sound does work out of the front ports of pc.

Transfering music files to new android phone

I'm running Ubuntu 22.04 on a X1 Carbon 8th gen and I am surprised to find that there is no configuration related to auto screen brightness in system settings. Do I need to install additional drivers/softwares to get it enabled in Ubuntu 22.04?

Note: Installing Windows in dual boot is not an option.
