Settings not getting saved when updating in NetworkManager

On Ubuntu 22.04, i am trying to update my VPN settings but the settings don't get saved, however if i create a new record for example, if i create a new VPN connection then the settings get saved.

So, I work from home a few days a week, and have different monitor setups at home and in the office.

Every time I go back and forth, ubuntu assumes the previous setup until I change it manually. This mainly impacts the position, which can be annoying when moving the cursor between screens.

I am using ncdu - NCurses Disk Usage on a Linux server node through CLI.

"File Sharing" Option under "Sharing" not Visible after upgrade to 23.04

After upgrading to 23.04, the option "File Sharing", normally listed first of four options under "Sharing" in Settings, is simply not appearing, as per image below:

I can still access shared folders from a remote Ubuntu machine, but only after enabling the other sharing options (Media Sharing probably enabled that access).

0% battery level of touchscreen

My Ubuntu is reporting at Settings->Power a device "CUST0000:00 04F3:2751" as 0% battery.

I just discovered that this device is my laptop touchscreen.

Sometimes I receive a message saying that this device has not enough power and will stop working.

Then my touchscreen stops working.

I don't think that could be a separate battery to supply the touchscreen and this happens even with the notebook plugged  ...

I can follow these instructions to add the OpenSC PKCS#11 module manually to the Firefox Security Module through the GUI. But would like to add it via the CLI so I can script it but I'm not able to find where the Firfox nsstools stores it. On top of that it seems to only seems to add the Security Module to my profile on the machine instead of globally for everyone.

How do I start network from 23.04 console?

I upgraded 22.10 to 23.04 via do-release-upgrade. After the upgrade installs the new file and does its configuration, the system reboots, but dumps the user in the Recovery Menu. Going to the shell, the network doesn't work. The file systems are all mounted and working, including the zfs drives.

Terminal always opens empty

recently every terminal I open is totally empty, with active cursor but no directory. To keep going I always must press CTRL + C, like I have to kill process or something.

I assume it has to do with my recent installation of Vscode. But if I close all programs and then open a terminal it is still empty. even a fresh reboot doesn't help.

Ubuntu cannot detect second monitor

I just got two monitors connected to my laptop via an adapter. One is a DVI to HDMI, and the other one is VGA to VGA to the adaptor. Having an issue in kubuntu 23.04 where even if i check the 'nublock on' box for boot, it does not apply the setting. Also, to get numlock to turn on, it must be pressed two times. I have confirmed this on a laptop as well as a desktop, both have the same issue. How can I resolve this?

Every time I launch my PC it takes at least 10 minutes to login and launch application.

The problem started after I deleted two files called "gvfs" and "gvfs-admin". Now my PC has been lagging a lot!
